LEE AND ROBINSON NAMED TO ALL-CIAA WOMEN'S TEAM

(HAMPTON, Va.)  The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced its honorees for the 2010 All-CIAA teams and Players of the Year.  Of those to be honored at Tuesday's (2/23) Tournament Luncheon are Bowie State University senior Bianca Lee (Temple Hills, MD, Archbishop Carroll) and junior Teaunsha Robinson (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic).  The All-CIAA Team is selected by the women's basketball coaches associations.

The women's team is headlined by Virginia Union University's Tonaye Smith (Sr./F/5-11/Detroit, MI), who has been named the 2010 CIAA Player of the Year. Smith leads the CIAA in scoring, averaging 18.9 points per game. She is also averaging 7.2 rebounds per game, respectively.

Defensive Player of the Year honors went to Deja Middleton of Fayetteville State University. Middleton leads the conference in blocked shots, averaging 2.0 per game and in defensive rebounds averaging 6.5 per contest.
