Bulldogs Women’s Tennis Strolls to 8-1 Victory at Trinity (D.C.)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Bowie State University women's tennis made it a season sweep against Trinity (D.C.) University on Wednesday (4/4) afternoon, strolling to an 8-1 non-conference road victory.
 
Freshman Kayla Bridgett (Upper Marlboro, Md.) and sophomore Madeleine Ndema (Lanham, Md.) captured an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles while sophomores Kionza Allen (Laurel, Md.) and Kamara Eason (Oxon Hill, Md.) claim a No.2 doubles win by the same 8-0 score. Junior Jocelyn Williams (Washington, D.C.) along with freshman Bianca Tucker (Edgewood, Md.) dominated at No. 3 doubles, winning by a score of 8-1.
 
Bridgett and Ndema captured wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles by a score 8-1 and 8-1 respectively. The Bowie State Bulldogs secured an 8-0 shutout at No. 3 singles (Allen) and duplicated the 8-0 score at No. 4 singles with Eason earning the win. BSU's Williams was victorious at No. 5 singles defeating her opponent 8-3. Bowie State's lone loss of the afternoon came at No. 6 singles as Tucker fell short by a final match score of 8-4.
 
Bowie State (3-7) tennis is scheduled to return to the court on Friday (April 6) in a (CIAA) conference doubleheader at Elizabeth City State.
