FINAL STATS

(BOWIE, MD)  It was the home finale and the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs did not dissapoint the crowd, beating the University of the District of Columbia 3-1 in a non-conference match.  Bowie State wraps on the regular season with a 12-13.

Freshman Bethany Sloat led Bowie State with 17 kills and juniors Tiffany Toney and Tamira Conner Rogers added another 14 kills apiece.  Freshman Brigitte Fabre tallied a game-high five service aces for the Lady Bulldogs. 

The UDC Lady Firebirds were led by Karen Trevino with 15 kills.  Laila Benjamin and Ashley Jefferson added another nine and eight kills respectively for the University of the District of Columbia.  UDC's record falls to 9-13 and will close out their season with a tri-match (11/3) hosted by West Chester (PA) University.

Bowie State will enter next weeks CIAA Championship Tournament in Charlotte (NC) as the third seed in the East.
