(BOWIE, MD) Bowie State University made quick work of the Lincoln (PA) University Lady Lions, sweeping the visitors 3-0. The victory snapped a three game losing streak as BSU won by scores of 30-17, 30-7 and 30-17.
Junior Tamira Conner Rogers (Ft. Washington, MD) and sophomore Bethany Sloat (Baltimore, MD) led the charge with seven and six service aces respectively. Sophomore Breaun Garner (Beltsville, MD) paced the Lady Bulldogs with 24 attacks and Sloat added another 20. Conner Rogers also led BSU's Lady Bulldogs with seven digs.
Donneisha Smith led Lincoln (PA) with 14 attacks and Latoya Millstrey contributed another 11 attacks. The loss dropped the Lady Lions record to 1-7. Lincoln will return to action (9/18) at home against Goucher College.
Bowie State (2-6) will head south for a conference match at St. Paul's College – Wednesday, September 12th at 6:00 p.m. in SPC's Taylor-Whitehead Gymnasium.
