The Lady Falcons outshot the Lady Bulldogs 52 percent to 36 percent, which included 56 percent in the second half. However, Bowie State dominated in the paint, outscoring Saint Augustine's 32-24.
Keyona Bryant (Springdale, Md.) scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and sophomore forward LaKiesha White (Richmond, Va.) added 19 points and 12 rebounds for Saint Augustine's College.
The Lady Falcons (10-9 overall, 5-7 CIAA) committed 28 turnovers including two critical turnovers in the final three minutes when they trailed 57-55. The high number of Saint Augustine's turnovers, translated into 25 Bowie State points. The turnovers also spoiled a nice comeback by the Lady Falcons, who trailed 57-42 with 8:32 remaining in the game.
