WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Bowie State University Bulldogs had no real trouble with Palm Beach Atlantic University on Sunday evening and rolled to a 67-52 victory against the Sailfish. Bowie State improves its record to 5-4 overall while Palm Beach Atlantic drops to 4-5.

Senior
Julian Livingston (Bowie, Md.) led three Bulldogs in double figures, scoring 15 points while redshirt senior
Miles Jackson (Silver Spring, Md.) and junior
Michael Briscoe (Waldorf, Md.) added 13 and 10 points respectively. Junior
Enuoma Ebinum (Greenbelt, Md.) and senior
Justin Beck (Ellicott City, Md.) were Bowie State's top rebounders, grabbing eight and seven respectively.

The Sailfish connected on just 18-of-56 attempts, a season-low 32.1 percent from the field. Palm Beach Atlantic however was not drastically out-gunned as the Bulldogs only connected on 38.4 percent.Â
The opening twenty minutes saw four tie scores and six lead changes en route to a 34-28 advantage for the Bulldogs. The Sailfish out-shot the Bulldogs 37 percent to 29.3 percent in the first half, but allowed 18 combined points off turnovers and second chance opportunities, which lead to the Bulldog lead.
Bowie State would hold its lead the duration of the second half, leading by as much as 20 points on three separate occasions. The Sailfish were out shot in the second half, as the Bulldogs connected on 16-of-32 (50 percent) compared to the Sailfish 8-of-29 (27.6 percent).

"I was really pleased with the way these guys defended and thought this was one of the best defensive games we've played in my seven years at BSU", said Brooks.

The Sailfish were led by on offense by Shavanno Cooper (Freeport, Bahamas) with 20 points to go along with six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Bakari Warthen (West Palm Beach, Fla.) was the only other Palm Beach Atlantic player to reach double figure scoring, accounting for 12 points in the loss. Milos Kostic (Belgrade, Serbia) was the games' top rebounder, pulling down eight for the Sailfish.

The Bulldogs return to the hardwood on Sunday (December 13th) when they travel to Institute, W.Va. to face West Virginia State University at 2 p.m.
