ETTRICK, Va. – The Bowie State University women's tennis team came up short against Virginia State University (7-2) Thursday (Apr. 4), falling 6-1. The Bulldogs dip to 2-7 overall with the loss.
 
Bowie State sophomore Bianca Tucker (Edgewood, Md.) earned a default win at No. 6 singles but Virginia State picked up wins and No. 1-5 singles and captured wins at No. 1-2 doubles as well.
 
The Bulldogs will return to action on Sunday (Apr. 7) at Virginia Union University for a 1 p.m. match at Battery Park.
