BOWIE, Md. – Lincoln (Pa.) spoiled the home finale for six Bowie State seniors on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Bulldogs 72-64. Bowie State ends the regular season with a record of 16-12 overall, 8-7 in league play and 4-4 in the CIAA North.

Saiquan Jamison (Upper Marlboro, Md.) led the Bulldogs with 19 points while grabbing ten rebounds. Senior
David Belle (Hyattsville, Md.) added 14 points and fellow senior
Cameron Hayes (Upper Marlboro, Md.) chipped in ten. Senior
Yohance Fleming (Bowie, Md.) hauled down a game and career-high 13 rebounds to lead all players.
LUPA's Bernard Lightsey led all scorers with 24 points while Keynante Williams came off the bench to score 13 for the victorious Lions. Zahrion Blue had a team-high ten rebounds and just missed a double double with nine points.
The Lions led this game wire-to-wire as Deaquan Williams started off the scoring with a traditional three-point play. Lincoln (Pa.) quickly opened a nine-point lead on a layup-and-one from Keynante Williams and later used a 12-2 run to increase their lead to 18, 32-14 with 5:55 left in the half. The Bulldogs responded with a 13-2 run to close out the half and cut the Lions lead to seven, 34-27 at the break.
Lincoln (Pa.) (9-19 / 5-10 CIAA / 3-5 North) shot 42 percent from the field (14-of-33) while Bowie State made 11-of-34 from the field (32 percent) over the first 20 minutes of action. The Lincoln (Pa.) Lions led by as much as 18 points in the first half with 12 being second chance points.
The Bulldogs scored the first five points of the second half to cut the lead to two 34-32. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the Lincoln (Pa.) Lions countered with a 17-6 run fueled by Lightsey and Williams who combined to score 15 of the 17 points during the run.
The Lions still led by double digits 57-47 with 6:56 left when the Bulldogs began an 11-4 run to cut the Lions lead to four 62-58 with 2:47 left. Deonta Dunlap broke up the momentum with a three-point field goal to put the Lions back up by seven 65-58 and the Bulldogs would not get any closer than five as Lightsey came through with the free throws in the final minute to seal the win.
The Bulldogs will enter the CIAA Tournament as the No. 3 seed in the North and will take on the Livingstone Blue Bears on Wednesday (2/26) at 12:10 p.m. in the Bojangles Coliseum.
