BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State University women's basketball program and seventh year head coach Shadae Swan has announced the 2021-22 women's basketball schedule Friday.

The 2021-22 schedule includes 24 games and is comprised of 11 home contests, 12 road games, seven non-conference matchups and a neutral site games. Among highlights of 2021-22 schedule is a NCAA Division I matchup with Old Dominion on Dec. 8 in Norfolk, Va.

The Bulldogs will begin their 21-22 campaign at Shippensburg (Nov. 13) and then travel for a meeting with Shepherd (Nov. 17). BSU's home opener will be on Nov. 21 against Wilmington (DE) inside A.C. Jordan Arena.

On Nov. 28, the Bulldogs will play host to Goldey-Beacom before traveling to the University of District of Columbia on Dec. 4. After their contest at DI, ODU – BSU will host a five-game home stretch beginning on Dec. 11 versus California (PA).The following three home contests will start cross division conference play with Johnson C. Smith (Dec. 14), Livingstone (Dec. 16) and Winston-Salem State (Dec. 20).

Bowie State will end their five-game home stretch against Bloomfield for their non-conference finale on Jan. 4 – which also marks the first tilt of the New Year for the Bulldogs.

BSU will resume CIAA cross division play, with road trips to Raleigh, N.C. to face Saint Augustine's (Jan. 6), followed by a trip to Orangeburg, S.C. for a gathering with Claflin and a visit to Fayetteville, N.C. to square off with Fayetteville State on Jan. 10.

The Bulldogs will return home to A.C. Jordan Arena on Jan. 15 against Lincoln (PA) and Virginia Union (Jan. 19) to begin CIAA Northern Division play.

Bowie State will get back on the road to travel to Shaw (Raleigh, NC) on Jan. 22 and Elizabeth City State (Jan. 29) but in between those two games, the Bulldogs will host Virginia State on Jan. 26. Bowie State will start the month of February off also on the road when BSU visits Lincoln (PA) on Feb. 5 and Virginia Union (Feb. 9).

The final three regular season contests will feature a home game against the Lady Bears of Shaw on Feb. 12, a trip to Petersburg, Va., to tangle with the Trojans. The season finale and home finale will be against the Lady Vikings of ECSU on Feb. 19.

The CIAA Tournament is slated for Feb. 22-26 in Baltimore, Md., held at the Royal Farms Arena.
