Bowie, Md. – The Bowie State University men's basketball team will be on the road to face Kutztown University on Wednesday, Dec. 8th at 7 p.m. inside Keystone Arena. The game will offer live stats on either www.bsubulldogs.com or www.kubears.com under the men's basketball schedule page.
The Bulldogs (1-6) gained their first win of the season last Saturday, defeating the University of the District of Columbia, 80-65 to snap a six-game losing skid. Sophomore David McCullough (Bowie, MD) led the offensive attach, putting up 11 points while graduate senior Godlyvictor Okafor (Greenbelt, MD) also added 11 points and five rebounds. Senior Dexter Turner (Washington, D.C.) chipped in 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from the 3-pont line. The Bulldogs average 72.4 points per game while their opponents have put 83 points per outing.
Kutztown, a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) enters Wednesday's game with a 3-4 overall record after earning their first conference win of the year against Seton Hill, 67-53 last Saturday. Wesley Butler finished with 21-points, followed by Evan-Eric Longino with 11 points. Through seven games, the Bears average 78.7 points per game while holding their opponents to 70 points per outing.
Wednesday's game will be the fourth meeting between these two schools since 2016. The Bulldogs look to end that three-game losing skid against the Bears as the last meeting occurred during the 2018-2019 season with BSU dropping a 74-61 decision in A.C. Jordan Arena.
