Bowie, Md. – The Bowie State women's basketball team will make a midweek trip to Norfolk, Va., to face Old Dominion on Wednesday. Tip is slated for 6:30 p.m. in Chartway Arena.

Bowie State stands 2-3 overall, coming off a 58-53 loss at UDC last weekend. Freshman Katerra Myers (Burtonsville, MD) led the Bulldogs in scoring with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field while grabbing six rebounds and five steals.
BSU has experienced some up and downs offensively, averaging 57 points per game on .337 shooting, including a .258 mark from 3-point range. The Bulldogs average 7.8 assists per game through five games but commit 16 turnovers per outing. Myers is the team's leading scorer and rebounders with 11.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per night. Senior Talanya Hutton (Seat Pleasant, MD) adds 10.2 points and 6.0 rebounds, respectively.
ODU is coming off a 68-55 victory at William & Mary Sunday. The Monarchs shot 42.6-percent from the field against the Tribe and were 5-of-18 from deep. The victory extended their win-streak to four game. During the stretch, ODU picked up wins against Saint Joseph's (67-50), Texas Tech (59-45) and Stetson (61-51).
Ajah Wayne is the Monarch's leading scorer with 14.9 points on 40-percent shooting while Iggy Allen adds 13.8 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds per game.
The Bulldogs and Monarchs are playing each other for the first time in program history.
