BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State women's basketball team returns home for the last non-conference regular season tilt of the 2021 portion of the schedule when the Bulldogs host California (PA) for a 1 p.m. tip on Saturday. General admission is $10.

All media interested in covering a Bowie State men's and women's basketball contest will need to request credentials two days prior to the event. Credentials will not be granted the day of the game.
COVID-19 Policy
Bowie State Athletics is requiring all fans and spectators to show proof of vaccination and proper identification prior to entering the arena. Additionally, all fans are required to wear face coverings (masks or neck gaiters) at all times unless eating or drinking while in A.C. Jordan Arena.
Last Time Out
Bowie State (2-4) is coming off a 70-29 loss to Division I member Old Dominion Wednesday night. The Bulldogs had a tough shooting night, shooting just 27-percent (11-41) from the field, including 2-of-9 from 3-point range and 28-percent (5-18) from the free throw line. Freshman Anii Harris (Ellicott City, MD) scored eight points off the bench to lead Bowie State while senior Talanya Hutton (Seat Pleasant, MD) grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, six points and three steals.
The Streak
Bowie State will look to extend the home win-streak to 20-straight with a win on Saturday against the Vulcans. The Bulldogs are currently 2-0 at home. During the 2019-20 season, BSU went undefeated (15-0) in A.C. Jordan Arena. The Bulldogs have not loss at home since Jan. 30, 2019.
Scouting Cal U
California University of Pennsylvania, a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) is coming off a 69-29 win at East Stroudsburg last weekend. The Vulcans had four players score in double figures, led by Dejah Terrell with 21 points and 11 rebounds – her third double-double on the year. The Vulcans roster features a foursome of double-digit scorers in Terrell (17.3), Ciaira Loyd (12.8), Brionna Allen (11.0) and Olivia Hudson (10.2).
Defensively, Terrell has a team-high 8.8 average in rebounds.
Cal U is 5-1 overall and 1-1 on the road this season.
The Series
The Bulldogs and Vulcans are meeting for the second time since the 2011-12 season. Cal U defeated BSU, 83-62 in Indiana, Pa. during the last outing.
What's Next
Next week, beginning Tuesday, Dec. 14, Bowie State will begin conference play with a three-game home stand with Johnson C. Smith, Livingstone (Dec. 16) and Winston-Salem State (Dec. 20).
