The Series

About Bowie State
The Bulldogs have not seen action since Dec. 16 when Bowie State took on Livingstone, falling 64-55 at home. Due to COVID-19 protocols, BSU was forced to postpone action against Winston-Salem State, Bloomfield and Saint Augustine's.
Against the Blue Bears, BSU went back-and-forth throughout four quarters but the LC went on a 9-0 run and connected on 10-straight free throws in the final two minutes of the game. Freshman Anii Harris (Ellicott City, MD) scored 17 points – tying her career-high to lead Bowie State in scoring.
Harris is in fact the team's leading scorer, averaging 10.6 points per game, having started just two games this season for the Bulldogs while freshman Katerra Myers (Burtonsville, MD) averages a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game. Bowie State averages 51 points per game (11th in CIAA) while their opponents post 62 points a night.
Scouting Claflin
Claflin picked up their second win of the season with a 58-46 win over Virginia Union Thursday. The Lady Panthers held VUU to a shooting percentage of 28-percent from the field. Breanna Price led the way with 22 points while Lauren Scott chipped in 10 points.
As a team, the Lady Panthers averages 55.3 points while their opponents have put up nearly 63 points per outing. Janelle Sample is the team's leading scorer, posting 10.6 points per game while Price has a team-high average in rebounds at 6.9.
