Bulldogs Fall 76-55 to No. 3 Indiana (PA)

INDIANA, Pa. - The Bowie State men's basketball team got a 20-point performance from the bench, but fell 76-55 to the No. 3 Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks on the road Wednesday.

The Bulldogs (1-2) had three players score in double figures, led by Mark Bradshaw, who had 16 points. Caleb Johnson tacked on 12 points and three steals and Kyree Freeman-Davis helped out with 11 points and two steals off of the bench.

Led by Warren Mouganda's four offensive rebounds, Bowie State did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 10 boards that resulted in 10 second chance points.

The Bowie State defense was a problem in Wednesday's game, forcing 16 Indiana (PA) turnovers. Those takeaways turned into 16 points on the offensive end of the floor. Johnson's three steals led the way individually for the Bulldogs.

How It Happened
Bowie State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 40-30 heading into halftime.

The Crimson Hawks (3-0) kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 55-36 advantage before Bowie State went on an 8-0 run, finished off by Anthony Carpenter's jumper, to shrink the deficit to 55-44 with 9:08 to go in the contest. Indiana (PA) responded and outscored the Bulldogs the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 76-55. Bowie State got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 14 of its 25 total points.
