The Series
The Bulldogs and Marauders will meet for the 11
th time on Wednesday, with Millersville owning the series by a count of 7-3. While the Bulldogs had been dominate in the last three meetings, including a 95-62 win back in 2015 in Bowie, Md., last time out - Millersville had won seven-straight over BSU.
Last Time Out
Trailing by six points with just a minute into the second half, the Bulldogs fought hard, but ultimately could not complete the comeback, falling 70-58 at Heiges Field House on Monday night. Freshman
Warren Mouganda (Bowie, MD) registered a team-high 15 points, including 3-for-3 shooting from the 3-point line to lead BSU in scoring.
Bowie State
The Bulldogs enter Wednesday's contest with a 2-6 record, having suffered three-straight setbacks by the hands of UDC (91-88), Shepherd (66-55) and Shippensburg (70-58). Prior to the three game skid, the Bulldogs had defeated Bloomfield, 85-81 on the road back on Nov. 21. The other Bowie State win came against Frostburg State back on Nov.11 by the score of 94-74. Caleb Johnson (Baltimore, MD) both add 12.4 and 10.5 ppg, respectively.
Millersville
Riding a 2-0 record at home this season, the Marauders welcome Bowie State after earning a 68-56 win over Penn State York on Nov. 22. Matt Dade had 21 points while Ryan Davis and Jahme Ested finished with 15 and 11 points, respectively. Ested also recorded 11 rebounds and seven assists in the outing.
Justin Nwosu leads Millersville in scoring (12.2 ppg) while Dade posts 11.0 ppg and Drew Stover adds 10.2 ppg. Ested is the team's top rebounder with an average of 4.8 rbg. The Marauders hold a scoring margin of 9.4 over its opponents (63.0), scoring 72.4 points per game.
