About the Bulldogs
Bowie State fell to Winston-Salem State, 69-62 in overtime Monday night at the C.E. Gaines Center. The Bulldogs outscored the Rams 34-32 in the second half, forcing the game into overtime after a free throw shot but WSSU went on a 12-5 run in the extra sessions for the rest of the way.

Sophomore Ayan Teel (Bowie, MD) led Bowie State with 16 points - his fifth game this season in double digit scoring. Graduate senior Tyler Jones (Pleasantville, NJ) added 15 points and four rebounds – his 10th game in double figures on the year. He ranks third on the team in scoring at 10.6 ppg. Sophomore David McCullough (Bowie, MD) chipped in 13 points and three bounds, marking his third-straight game in double figures and 14th overall on the year. McCullough leads the team in scoring (11.9) and rebounds (4.2).

The Bulldogs are 2-8 on the road this season and have won one out of the last four road games. However, a win for BSU this weekend could put the Bulldogs in the driver seat for first place in the division should Virginia Union lose as all three (Bowie State, Virginia Union and Lincoln (PA)) are in a three-way tie at 3-2.

Scouting Lincoln (PA)
Lincoln (PA) have lost their last two games entering Saturday's competition. The Lions fell to Livingstone, 71-63 at home on Wednesday. Zahrion Blue was the lone Lion in double figure scoring, leading all scorers with 25 points and 10 rebounds. He ranks second in the CIAA in scoring averaging 19.0 points per game while collectively, LUPA is third in the league in scoring (73.5) and sixth in team defense (69.1).

The Series
Saturday's game marks the second meeting between Bowie State and Lincoln (PA) this season. Back on Jan. 15, the Bulldogs snapped the Lions seven-game win-streak with an 82-76 win at home inside A.C. Jordan Arena. Bowie State has won seven of the last eight meetings against the Lions.
