BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie State women's tennis team defeated Virginia Union 4-0 Tuesday afternoon in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Northern Division at the BSU Tennis Courts.

BSU had no problems in doubles competition, earning three-straight by 6-0 scores while in singles, junior Afruica Gentle picked up the Bulldogs first victory individually 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 1 position. Sophomore Abner Dickson claimed her first 6-0, 6-0 win of the season at the No. 2 position, followed by Kayla Lowry's 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 3 singles.

The win was the Bulldogs second-straight win as BSU improves to 4-6 overall, 3-4 in league action and 2-1 at home. VUU dips to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in CIAA play.
