BOWIE, MD — The Bowie State men's basketball team is looking to close the regular season off strong on the road against Lincoln University (PA) in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Northern Division matchup on Saturday, Feb. 24. This will be the nightcap game of a doubleheader featuring the women's game beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs (10-16, 5-11 CIAA, 4-5 North) had their win streak snapped by Virginia State, 66-58 on Wednesday, Feb 21. BSU had three players score double figures with reigning rookie of the week Kevon Corley leading the way with 21 points. Joel Webb added 12 points and Warren Mouganda added 11, respectively. The Bulldogs' defense was a key factor in holding the Trojans to 17 percent from the three-point line. Offensively, BSU took advantage of pushing the pace in transition scoring 17 points on fastbreak opportunities.
Mouganda leads the Bulldogs in scoring (13.2 ppg) while Webb leads the CIAA in field goal percentage (62.1 percent) and the team in rebounds (6.0). BSU is currently tied for fourth in the Northern Division standings.
About Lincoln (PA)
The Lions (14-12, 10-6 CIAA, 7-2 North) are coming off an overtime win against Bluefield State, 78-74. The game was tightly contested with the lead changing 15 times going into the final buzzer. In the overtime period, the Lions outscored Big Blue 12-8 paving the way for the win. Bakir Cleveland led the way for the Lions with 21 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Three other Lions also scored in double figures Freddie Young Jr. 16 points, Ethan Garita 14 points, and Reggie Hudson with 13 points. The Lions' defense pressured Big Blue forcing 22 turnovers. Lincoln (PA) is currently first in the Northern Division standings.
