BALTIMORE, MD --- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced its 2023-24 Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams and Player of the Year awards and Bowie State's Anii Harris was named to the All-CIAA Team announced by the league office during the tip-off banquet Sunday evening. 

Harris has been the leading scorer (19.5 ppg) in the CIAA since the start of the 2023-24 season. She increased her averages from a season ago in points (19.5), assists (2.1), steals (58) and blocks (12). Harris has started all 26 games this season for Bowie State, she has scored in double figures in 25-of-26 games played, including 16 20-point games and a career-high 31 points (vs. Palm Beach Atlantic). Harris leads the CIAA in scoring (19.4) while fifth in the league for field goal percentage (44%), 16th in free throws (64%) and a third conference best in steals (54). She has earned CIAA Player of the Week four times this season and recently eclipsed a career milestone of scoring her 1,000th career point against Virginia State on Feb. 7. The Ellicott City, Md., native was named to the Preseason All-CIAA Team earlier this year and currently ranks 11th all-time on the Bulldogs scoring list.

Bowie State women's basketball (13-13, 7-9 CIAA) finished 2-8 in the Northern Division which earned a sixth seed (North) in the tournament. The Bulldogs will face the No. 7 seed from the South in Winston-Salem State (8-20, 2-16 CIAA, 2-10 South) on Monday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in CFG Bank Arena. The winner will face the No. 3 seed (South) Johnson C. Smith on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 4:30 p.m.
