Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Bulldogs Outmatched by Goldey-Beacom in Nonconference Test

BOWIE, MD — The Bowie State men's basketball team (0-3) dropped an 87-52 decision to Goldey-Beacom College on Tuesday morning inside A.C. Jordan Arena during the program's annual Education Day game.

Goldey-Beacom established control early, jumping out to an immediate lead behind a pair of 3-pointers from Elisha Brown. Guy Fauntleroy knocked down a three at the 15:06 mark to trim the deficit, while Amadou Kaloga added a late first-half layup with 2:54 remaining. However, GBC maintained its momentum and carried a 45-30 lead into halftime.

The Lightning continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 42-22. Despite efforts from BSU's bench and key moments from Justin Morrisey , who hit a jumper at 11:47 and a 3-pointer with 3:27 remaining , GBC's offense proved too much to overcome.

Following the game, BSU Athletics media intern Eric Scott caught up with head coach Darrell Brooks to discuss the team's preparation for a quick turnaround. When asked how he plans to get the Bulldogs ready, Brooks responded, "We have to find five guys who want to play hard."
