Scouting Bowie State
Bowie State (15-10, 7-6 CIAA, 5-2 North) is one of the hottest teams in the CIAA conference, accumulating a six-game win streak and taking sole possession of first place in the CIAA North division. The team's six-game win streak is Bowie State's longest winning streak since the 2019-2020 season, where they won five in a row. BSU is a scrappy team whose resilient nature has willed them to win 11 games with a margin of five or fewer points. The Bulldogs are ranked second in the CIAA in blocks per game (4.76) while being ranked fourth in steals per game (9.24). BSU also shares the ball well, as they are ranked third in the conference in assists per game (14.56). Bowie State's leading scorer and rebounder is Amare Wimbush, who averages 11.9 ppg and 6.2 rebounds. Elijah Davis' 5.3 assists per game is ranked third in the CIAA. Davis also is ranked second in the conference in steals per game (2.2).

Last Time Out for the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs won a back-and-forth contest, 73-69, against Virginia Union inside Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va. This contest saw nine lead changes and the score being timed seven times. Wimbush almost notched a double-double, scoring 14 points while grabbing nine rebounds. He also displayed his great defensive skills, getting four steals and one block. BSU had two other double-digit performers as Warren Mouganda scored 13 points and Justin Morrisey pitched in with 10 points. Bowie State outscored Virginia Union, down low scoring 42 points in the paint compared to the 32 points from VUU. The Bulldogs excelled in transition, scoring 25 fastbreak points while limiting the Panthers to 19.

Scouting Bluefield State

Big Blue has the best offense in the CIAA conference, averaging 92.6 points per game throughout the season. B-State is also the best rebounding team in the conference, averaging 37.8 team rebounds. Jordan Hinds is Bluefield State's leading scorer, averaging 20.7 ppg, which also leads the CIAA. Hinds also excels on both ends of the floor, averaging 6.4 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. Romeo Aquino is the team's second leading scorer, averaging 14.9 ppg, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals.
