Bulldogs Close Regular Season with Road Loss at Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, PA --- The Bowie State women's tennis team (2-14) concluded its regular season with a tough 7-0 loss to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Shippensburg on Monday afternoon at the Robb Sports Complex.

In doubles play, Torrienne Emery and Kayla Lowery dropped a close 6-3 match, while Nakari Blunt and Verneice Herndon fell 6-0.

In singles, Emery was defeated 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1, and Lowery battled but lost 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2. Blunt dropped her match 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3, and Herndon was blanked 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.

Shippensburg claimed default wins at No. 5 and No. 6 to secure the 7-0 sweep.
