Men's Basketball Cruise to 23-Point Victory Over Livingstone in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — The Bowie State men's basketball team rolled to a dominant 100-77 win over No. 5 South seed Livingstone College Tuesday night in the opening-round nightcap of the 2026 CIAA Men's Basketball Tournament inside CFG Bank Arena.

The Bulldogs controlled the contest from start to finish, finishing with nine blocks and 48 points in the paint to secure the commanding victory.

Bowie State set the tone early, building a 44-32 lead by halftime behind an efficient offensive showing. Joseph Allen and KJ West sparked the first-half surge, with Allen knocking down a three-pointer at the 14:56 mark and West adding a layup and a triple later in the period. Guy Fauntleroy added a fast-break three-pointer at 10:56 off an assist from Allen to keep momentum on the Bulldogs' side. Livingstone's Kenneth Tyree converted a layup in the closing seconds of the half, but BSU maintained a firm grip on the game heading into the break.

The Bulldogs extended their advantage immediately after halftime. West opened the scoring with a layup at 19:33, while Allen continued to dominate inside with a layup at 15:58 and a fast-break dunk at 9:39. Jaiden McGhee made his presence felt on both ends of the floor, knocking down a jumper at 6:59 and controlling the glass with key defensive rebounds. Although Livingstone's Jeremiah Mobley tried to rally the Blue Bears with consistent scoring, Bowie State's edge in second-chance points and transition baskets proved too much to overcome.

McGhee was recognized for his all-around performance as the Food Lion Player of the Game.
