Bryan Wilson

Bryan Wilson enters his 11th season on the coaching staff and tenth season as Associate Head Coach. Wilson has deep roots with the Bulldogs program being a four-year letterman in basketball. He has the most wins all time as a player for Bowie State University Men’s Basketball. Wilson has had his hand in two CIAA Tournament Championships, one as a player in 2013 and one as an Associate Head Coach in 2017. In 2019, Wilson and the 2013 CIAA Championship Team entered the Bowie State University Sports Hall of Fame.

Wilson's primary responsibilities include day-to-day operations of the program, player development, recruiting, scouting, travel, and community service. In 2018, started an annual Team Camp in the summer for high school teams, which served as both a recruiting tool and fundraiser for the Bulldog Program. Wilson primarily works with the guards and wing players. He has recruited and developed 5 CIAA All-Conference players, 3 CIAA All-Rookie Team players, as well as 3 BOXTOROW HBCU All-Americans. In addition, he has also recruited and developed a CIAA Rookie of the Year and a CIAA Player of the Year.
 
From 2016-2019 , Wilson served as the Program Director for Five-Star Basketball in Fredrick County, MD. Duties included building website, marketing, registration, hiring counselors, payroll, and directing the camp day to day.
 
From 2013-14, Wilson worked for Sport Changes Life Foundation in Belfast, Ireland, where he was actively involved within the local communities, growing participation in sport and a mentor to help raise the aspirations of the young people they worked with. Bryan was also the head coach of the Ulster Elks girls Under 14 and Under 13 teams. He coached the team to a 7th place finish in the country of Ireland.
 
During his collegiate playing days, Wilson’s teams at Bowie State had the most wins in a four-year span (2009-2013). Wilson logged 2,309 minutes for the Bulldogs playing in 105 games, starting 44, and scoring 689 points. His career-high for points in a game was 16 at Virginia State (2/20/13) and recorded a career-best 15 rebounds vs Lincoln (2/6/11). Wilson ranks fifth on Bowie State's All-Time Assists list with 229.
 
Coach Wilson played the 2013-2014 season in Ireland for the Ulster Elks, serving as team captain, won Northern Ireland Premier League Championship and named to the All-Ireland Team
 
Bryan graduated in 2013 from Bowie State University with a Degree in Sports Management and completed his Masters from the University of Ulster (Ireland) in the same field in December 2014.
