With a decade of experience in the sports performance industry, Marcus Teamer is committed to challenging the status quo and helping athletes reach their fullest potential. He began his journey at Bowie State University in July 2024, stepping into the role of Director of Sport Performance for all 13 varsity sport programs. In his first year with the Bulldogs, Teamer made an immediate impact by lowering athlete injury time away, enhancing availability across multiple teams. Prior to Bowie State, he served as the Director of Sports Performance at Redline Athletics in the private sector, where he oversaw athlete development across the DMV region.
Teamer’s career has been defined by his ability to design and implement elite training programs with an emphasis on movement efficiency, program design, and community engagement. Since 2020, he has worked to create and monitor high-performance programs for elite athletes while conducting advanced performance screening and testing to maximize athletic output. Along the way, he has collaborated with several universities, including the University of Maryland and Alderson Broaddus University.
An accomplished professional, Teamer earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Fairmont State University and a Master of Science degree in Human Performance from the University of the Cumberlands. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.Â
A native of Waldorf, Md., Teamer draws from his faith and passion for empowering others to push the boundaries of performance and inspire the next generation of athletes.
