Gunter was named the Media Relations Coordinator on January 8, 2025, where his primary duties include serving as the media contact for all 13 of Bowie State Athletics' teams, managing social media, bsubulldogs.com, and live statistics, and assisting with broadcasting efforts for the Bulldogs.
Gunter will work alongside Assoc. AD Dr. Williams and a plethora of outstanding student interns who will continue as the Athletic Communications student staff in 2024-25.
Prior to Bowie State, Gunter served in an assistant role with the Sports Information Office at Bluefield State University, assisting with game operations, day-to-day tasks, and in-game statistics.
Gunter was a former All-CIAA linebacker at Bluefield State. He finished the 2023 regular season with 46 tackles (28 solo, 18 assists), six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Gunter made program history for the Big Blue after being named the first B-State football player invited to the HBCU Pigskin Showdown. The Detriot, Mich., native earned a B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
