(BOWIE, Md.) The visiting Rams of Shepherd (WV) University had that killer instinct and came back to beat Bowie State 3-2 in non-conference volleyball action. Shepherd defeated the Lady Bulldogs by scores of 25-20, 22-25, 24-26, 25-21 and 15-7, improving their record to 7-13.

Jasmine McNair (Germantown, MD, Seneca Valley),
Bethany Sloat (Baltimore, MD, Western) and
Alycia Williams-Chase (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic) paced Bowie State with 13, 12 and 10 kills respectively. Williams-Chase served up a game-high six aces and recorded 10 digs. Junior
Itumeleng Shadreck (Bostwana Africa, East Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central) was the Lady Bulldogs' setup artist with 35 assists to go along with a team-high 15 digs and four service aces. McNair ended the match with four service aces and added 14 digs. Senior
Tamira Conner Rogers (Ft. Washington, MD, Oxon Hill) tallied 14 digs on the night and contributed eights kills for BSU's Lady Bulldogs.
Julie Robertson and Erin King led Shepherd with a dozen kills each and Lauren Jeschelnik and Emily McCoy added nine and eight kills respectively for the Rams. Robertson also led the Rams with four aces and tied for game-high dig honors (20).
Bowie State (12-9) travels to Indiana (Pa.) University - Saturday, October 18th for a 2 p.m. non-conference match.
