(BOWIE, MD) The division leading Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State swept Bowie State three straight sets, winning by scores of 25-22, 25-14 and 25-21. The loss drops the BSU Lady Bulldogs to 11-8 overall, 6-4 in the CIAA and 3-2 in the East.

Elizabeth City State improves their record to 17-6 overall, 10-0 in the CIAA and 5-0 in the Eastern Division.  Samarri Griffin and Chelsea Amick led the Lady Vikings with five kills each.  Bowie State Alycia Williams-Chase and Bethany Sloat paced the Lady Bulldogs with five kills apiece.  Williams-Chase also led Bowie State with four blocks.

Bowie State returns to play - Wednesday, October 8th with a road match at St. Paul's College.
