(BOWIE, MD) Head Coach Toni Conway picked up her first career win versus Goldey-Beacom College as the Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs cruised to a three set sweep, beating the Lightning 25-23, 25-9 and 25-13. The win improves Bowie State to 8-5 on the season.

Alycia Williams-Chase (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic) led the charge. Conner Rogers and Williams-Chase combined for 28 of Bowie State's 41 total kills, tallying 18 and 10 respectively. Junior
Breaun Garner (Beltsville, MD, Northwestern) came away from the match with a team-high 12 digs and junior
Itumeleng Shadreck (Bostwana Africa, East Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central) amassed 29 assists to go along with seven digs and three service aces.
Goldey-Beacom (4-2) was led by Kellyn Nolan with eight kills and Christine Hudock recorded a game-high 15 digs. Roni Shaner led the Lightning with 15 assists and three service aces in the loss.
Bowie State travels to CIAA division foe Elizabeth City State – Saturday, September 20th for a 1 p.m. match against the Lady Vikings.
