(ELIZABETH CITY, NC)  The Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State swept the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs 3-0 in CIAA volleyball action.  Bowie State lost by scores of 25-8, 25-13 and 25-13.

Bowie State continues to struggle on offense and edned the match with a .143 hitting percentage.  Jasmine Nixon (Middletown, NY, Middletown) paced BSU's Lady Bulldogs with seven kills and added six digs.  Joshlyn Eggleston (Joppa, MD, Joppatowne) and JaTyra Heath (Federalsburg, MD, Colonel Richardson) contributed five kills each and Symone Jordan added four kills in the setback.

Lia Scott and Stacie West led ECSU's Lady Vikings with seven kills each and Eva Johnson chipped in another five kills in the three-game sweep.  Cassie Noe was the teams leader in digs with eight and Regan Simpson added six digs and a team-high 11 assists.

Elizabeth City State improves to 15-9 on the year while Bowie State falls to 2-17 overall.
