BOX SCORE

(BOWIE, Md.)  Elizabeth City State make quick work of host Bowie State, shutting out the Lady Bulldogs in three straight, winning by scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-10.  The loss dips the Bowie State record to 1-14 overall (1-7 CIAA and 0-2 East) but improves ECSU's Lady Vikings to 10-7 overall (7-1 CIAA and 2-0 East).

Senior Breaun Garner (Beltsville, MD, Northwestern) topped Bowie State with five kills, while fellow senior teammate Itumeleng Shadreck (Botswana Africa, East Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central) and junior Joshlyn Eggleston (Joppa, MD, Joppatowne) added three kills each.  Heath led the Lady Bulldogs with a game-high nine digs and Shadreck was the teams top setter with eight.

Bowie State wrapped up the match with a negative attack percentage (-.151) compared to Elizabeth City State's positive attack percentage (.352).

Junior Xia/Ara Maybank-Smallings (New Castle, DE) and sophomore Lia Scott (Atlanta, GA) paced Elizabeth City State with nine and eight kills respectively.  Senior Ashley Tarasoff (Caslergar, British Columbia) led the Lady Vikings with 15 sets and junior Jasmin Knox added 13 more assists.

Bowie State will return to the court - Tuesday, September 22 as the Lady Bulldogs welcome the University of the District of Columbia to the A.C. Jordan Arena.  match time is set for 6 p.m.
