(BOWIE, Md.) The Shepherd University Rams took just under an hour to sweep the Lady Bulldogs 3-0 in non-conference volleyball action. Shepherd defeated Bowie State by scores of 25-10, 25-6 and 25-10. The loss dips the Bowie State record to 2-11 overall.
It was a rough night for Bowie State as the Lady Bulldogs ended the match with a -.075 attack percentage compared to a .485 attack percentage for the Rams of Shepherd. Shepherd (3-7), was led by freshman Melani Lewis with a match-high eight kills. Junior Lauren Jeschelnik and freshman Meg Kenny contributed a half dozen kills each and sophomore Kasey Mercier along with Kayla Walker chipped in five kills each. Jeschelnik paced both teams with a macth-high eight service aces.

Kassondra Greis (Mount Airy, MD, Linganore) added three kills to go along with seven assists, one service ace and three digs
Bowie State will be on the road for its next four matches before returning home to host Virginia Union University - Friday, October 1st at 6 pm.
