(CHEYNEY, Pa.) Bowie State University snapped its 10-game losing streak, sweeping Cheyney University 3-0 in non-conference volleyball play. The Lady Bulldogs took the match by scores of 25-18, 25-10 and 26-24 and sweep the season series against the Lady Wolves.

Kassondra Greis (Mount Airy, MD, Linganore) led the Bowie State attack with a match-high five kills and added two service aces. Sophomore

JaTyra Heath (Federalsburg, MD, Colonel Richardson, Chowan Univ.) chipped in three kills apiece. Bowie State freshmen
Briana Flowers (Millersville, MD, Old Mill) and
Tiffany White (Towson, MD, Digital Harbor) led both teams with a match-high seven and six service aces respectively.
Manoucheca Julce led Cheyney (0-11) with seven kills and 20 attacks while Tyiama Turner recorded eight digs.
Bowie State (3-14) returns to the court - Friday, October 1st, hosting the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University at 6 p.m. in BSU's A.C. Jordan Arena. The Lady Bulldogs will follow Friday's CIAA Northern Division match with a Saturday, October 2nd, 11 a.m. divisional contest against Northern Division leader Elizabeth City State.
