(ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.)  The Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State dominated their home match against Bowie State, defeating the Lady Bulldogs 25-7, 25-14 and 25-12.  The loss drops the Bowie State record to 5-14 overall, 2-8 in the CIAA and 1-3 in the North.

Freshman Cara Nance was again led Bowie State, accounting for a team-high five kills on 21 attempts.  Juniors Jasmine Nixon and Symone' Jordan had three and two kills respectively for the Lady Bulldogs.

Lia Scott led ECSU's Lady Vikings with a match-high nine kills and Kyla Shute along with Morghan Stallings added seven kills each.  Elizabeth City State improves to 8-2 in the CIAA.

Bowie State will return to action - Sunday (October 2) facing the CIAA Northern Division leading Hawks of Chowan University at 1 pm in the Helms Center on the CU campus.
