(NEW CASTLE, Del.) Bowie State University lost its opening match of a weekend tri-match hosted by Wilmington (Del.) University, falling in three straight sets to Bloomfield College by scores of 7-25, 21-25 and 9-25.

Jenahye' Johnson led BSU with six kills on 10 attempts and added one service ace, five digs and one block assists. Fellow freshman
Cara Nance knocked down three kills and topped the Lady Bulldogs with eight digs. Freshman
Paige McIntosh recorded 10 of the 11 assists. As a team, Bowie State (9-21) ended the match with an attack percentage of .032.
The Bloomfield College Lady Deacons (8-15) were led by Dominic Spivey and Clodesh Montano with 10 kills each and Da'Cheray Thomas along with Chereese Sheen added seven and six kills respectively in the win.
