Cara Nance Leads BSU with 20 Attacks and Six Kills

(HAMPTON, Va.) The Bowie State Lady Bulldogs volleyball team was held to a negative attack percentage of .020, falling 3-0 to the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State at the CIAA Volleyball Round-Up. FSU won by scores of 25-17, 25-9 and 25-13.

Bowie State (0-8, 0-2 CIAA) was led by freshman Cara Nance with a half dozen kills and 20 total attacks. Nance also accounted for one of Bowie State's two service aces and recorded one dig. Freshmen Jenahye' Johnson and Briana Ford tallied nine and seven kills respectively in the loss.

As a team, Fayetteville State recorded 75 total attacks compared to 50 for Bowie State and ended the match with a positive attack percentage of .213. Octavia Wynn led the Lady Vikings with 16 kills to go along with a pair of service aces and a pair of digs.

Bowie State's next scheduled Round-Up match is against St. Augustine's College tomorrow (9/17) at 3 pm.
