(HAMPTON, Va.) Winston-Salem State's Lady Rams held off Bowie State in their final match of the CIAA Volleyball Round-Up, beating the Lady Bulldogs 25-12, 25-21 and 25-23. Bowie State (1-11, 1-5 CIAA) returns to the court Wednesday (September 21) hosting the Lady Lions of Lincoln University of Pennsylvania at 6 pm.

Cara Nance continues to lead Bowie State, pacing the Lady Bulldogs with six kills on 24 attacks and added three service aces, one dig and one block assists. Fellow freshman outside hitter
Briana Ford and junior outside hitter
Jasmine Nixon tallied four and three kills respectively in the loss. Nixon was credited with three service aces and freshman setter
Paige McIntosh contributed 14 assists to go along with two service aces.
As a team, the Lady Rams totaled 35 kills on 88 total attacks. Freshman outside hitter Darissa Jones led the way for the Lady Rams with a team-best nine kills in the match. Fellow freshman Brittany Rich added seven kills as well. Rich also added four service aces in the match. Freshman setter Kayla Brass recorded a career-high 18 assists in the match.
