(CHEYNEY, Pa.)  It took visiting Bowie State just under an hour to dispose of Cheyney University, shutting out the Lady Wolves 3-0 and sweep non-conference doubleheader matchup.  The BSU Lady Bulldogs won the nightcap by scores of 25-17, 25-7 and 25-13.

Like match one earlier in the evening, Cheyney struggled at the net, ending the nightcap with a negative .171 attack percentage.  The Cheyney Lady Wolves racked up 82 attacks but managed just 12 kills. 

Denise Hill once again led the home team with five kills and Traonya Kenly was credited with a team-high six assists.

Bowie State (5-13) wrapped up the night with a .171 attack percentage, accumulating 70 team attacks and 24 kills.

Freshman Cara Nance topped the Lady Bulldogs with 11 kills and contributed two service aces and seven digs.  Freshman Paige McIntosh was second on the team in kills with five and sophomore Brelyn Finley along with junior Jasmine Nixon accounted for three kills each.

Bowie State returns to the court for conference matches Saturday (October 1st) on the road at Elizabeth City State University and Sunday (October 2nd) at Chowan University.
