BOWIE STATE TOPS WASHINGTON ADVENTIST 3-0 IN MATCH TWO OF DOUBLEHEADER

BOWIE, Md. – The Lady Bulldogs made even faster work of Washington Adventist in match two of their doubleheader, cruising to an easy 3-0 victory over the Lady Shock. The win, Bowie State's second in a row and fourth straight in doubleheader matches, improves the Lady Bulldogs record to 5-20 overall. Bowie State claimed victory by scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-14 in a quick 52 minutes.

Washington Adventist (2-12) was held to a negative attack percentage for the second match in a row against Bowie State, ending match two at -.068. The Shock only managed 11 total kills in the nightcap with Daniella Anderson responsible for five. Anderson also had a team-high six digs and added a pair of service aces and assists. Rachel Nutter setup her teammates seven of the teams' nine total assists. 

Bowie State was once again led by junior Brelyn Finley with a match-high seven kills and sophomore Remi Anderson along with junior Briana Flowers knocked down five kills each. Anderson and sophomore Paige McIntosh served up career-bests of eight and seven service aces respectively. McIntosh was second on the team in digs with seven.

Junior Kasi Eisenzimmer accounted for all 20 Lady Bulldog assists and contributed four service aces and three digs. Redshirt freshman Marissa Martinez chipped in a match-high nine digs to go along with two kills and one service ace.

Bowie State will close out the home portion of their 2012 schedule, hosting the Lady Dragons of Virginia University of Lynchburg in a rescheduled doubleheader on Monday (Nov. 5). First serve is set for 7 pm in BSU's A.C. Jordan Arena.
