Box Score BOWIE, Md. – After dropping the first match to Virginia Lynchburg, Bowie State battled back to capture a five-set victory over the Lady Dragons to earn split in non-conference doubleheader.
Virginia University of Lynchburg (8-12) won the first set 25-16 but Bowie State pulled out a 25-20 victory in set two. VUL rebounded in set three defeating BSU 25-19 only to have the home team hold off the visitors 25-22 in set four. Bowie State jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the fifth and decisive match and never looked back, earning a 15-13 decision.

Brelyn Finley and
Briana Flowers with 13 and 12 kills respectively. Finley and Flowers combined for four service aces and seven digs. Lady Bulldogs junior
Kasi Eisenzimmer paced both teams with 30 assists and also contributed six kills, two service aces and 14 digs. Redshirt freshman
Remi Anderson recorded a match-high 21 digs.
DeDandrea Outten knocked down a match-high 18 kills for Virginia Lynchburg and Alexandria Dill added six kills. Dill, LeAndrea Armbrister and Yolanda Jones served up four aces each.
Bowie State University will return to play on Thursday (November 8th), traveling to Virginia State University for a 6 pm conference contest in VSU's Daniel Gymnasium.
