Brelyn Finley (District Heights, MD.) notched a team-high 10 kills and freshman
Amy Harvey (Laurel, Md.) recorded a personal season-high 21 assists but host Goldey-Beacom College captured a 3-1 (25-11, 25-14, 22-25 and 25-17) decision over Bowie State University in the final non-conference match of the season for the Lady Bulldogs on Thursday evening.
Bowie State sophomores
Marissa Martinez (Albuquerque, N.M.) and
Yaje Ngundam (Bowie, Md.) had double-digit digs, picking up 14 and 11 respectively. Martinez was also responsible for all three Lady Bulldogs blocks.
Senior
Briana Flowers (Millersville, Md.) knocked down five kills and freshman
India Mason (Greenbelt, Md.) along with Martinez tallied four kills each.
GBC's Lightning held a 15-3 service ace advantage with Kadi McCoy recording a match-high six aces. McCoy also paced the home team with 13 kills on 29 attacks and Taylor Moyer added a dozen kills on 19 attacks. Niki Receveur led both teams with 29 digs.
Roni Peters recorded a match-high 25 assists and McCoy setup her teammates 19 assists.
The Lady Bulldogs closeout the regular season with conference road matches at Virginia Union (10/28) and Lincoln (10/31).
