Box Score BOWIE, Md. – Playing their first home and CIAA divisional volleyball match of the season, the Lady Bulldogs fell to a tough Virginia State University team by scores of 15-25, 16-25 and 8-25. The loss sets the Bowie State record at 1-8 overall, 0-4 (CIAA) and 0-1 (North).

Virginia State (5-5, 4-0, 1-0) was paced by freshman Dierdre Carter (Winchester, Va.) and senior Aubree Parker (Fort Pierce, Fla.) with 10 and seven kills respectively. Freshman Alexsys Pullen (Troy, MI) and junior Brianna Small (Lakewood, N.J.) chipped in five kills each. Senior Jasmine Henderson (St. Louis, Mo.) led the Lady Trojans in assists with a match-high 17 and freshman Diamond Simpson accounted for 11 assists in the victory.
Bowie State returns to action Sunday (September 22nd) at Chowan University. Match time versus the Hawks is 1 pm.
