EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Three Bowie State University players scored in double figures to help guide the Lady Bulldogs to a 65-55 non-conference road win at East Stroudsburg University on Monday night.

Leading the way for Bowie State (1-1) was sophomore Kiara Colston (Burtonsville, Md.) with a game-high game and season-high 19 points while fellow sophomore Kyah Proctor (Capitol Heights, Md.) and senior Alauna Jackson (Ellicott City, Md.) contributed 17 and 10 points respectively for the Lady Bulldogs. Sophomore Lisa Jing (Laurel, Md.) tallied a career-best nine points while junior Ashley Jennings (Newark, N.J.) grabbed a game-high eight rebounds and added four points.

As a team, Bowie State shot 35.7 percent from the field (20-of-56), which included 5-of-14 (35.7 percent) beyond the 3-point line and the Lady Bulldogs made 20-of-29 free throws (69 percent).

Senior Jourdan Stanhope (Columbus, Ohio) scored four points, sophomore Jasmine Orsted (Dickson, Tenn.) chipped in two points and six rebounds and sophomore Robin Heard pulled down six rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs took a 48-47 lead on a pair of Colston free throws at the 8:11 mark of the fourth quarter, Bowie State's first lead since 2-0 to start the game. Colston followed that with a 3-pointer to give the guests a 51-48 advantage over the Warriors but East Stroudsburg was not done battling.

The Warriors pulled the game even at 54-all on a jumper by Imani Brown with 4:06 remaining in the game.

Unfortunately for East Stroudsburg, Bowie State's Lady Bulldogs closed the game with an 11-1 run to seal the win. The Colston and Proctor duo were responsible for all 11 points during the game ending run.

East Stroudsburg (0-1) was led by Allison Howard with 18 points while Imani Brown and Melissa Poderis recorded 11 and 10 points respectively in the loss. Brown paced the Warriors on the glass, grabbing six rebounds.
