WILMINGTON, Del. - Goldey-Beacom got on a roll in the third and fourth sets and took command to post a 3-1 victory (25-20, 24-26, 25-19, 25-22) over Bowie State at the Jones Center on Thursday evening.

The Lightning in the third set amassed a 15-7 kills edge and recorded a .222 hitting percentage. They grabbed a 14-9 kills advantage in the fourth thanks to four kills from Shyanne Shank (Lebanon, Pa.) and 11 assists from Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, Va.).

Innocent Early (Newark, N.J.) pounded down 16 kills, Ellie Fleegle (Berlin, Pa.) had 14 and Kelly Bolton (Oxford, Pa.) tallied 13. Shank notched 15 digs, while the GBC duo of Mackenzie Wilson (Wilmington, Del.) had 12 and Keelin McEleney (Conshohocken, Pa.) added 12 and 11 respectively. The win improved Goldey-Beacom's season mark to 7-18.

Marissa Martinez (Albuquerque, N.M.) posted 16 digs and junior
Jasmine Ashe (Baltimore, Md.) contributed eight kills, four solo blocks and three block assists for the Lady Bulldogs. Junior
Adrielle Brisbon (Fort Washington, Md.) paced the Lady Bulldogs with a dozen assists to go along with 10 digs and a pair of kills.

The Lady Bulldogs will wrap up the non-conference portion of its schedule on Saturday (November 7th), traveling to Shepherdstown, W.Va. to take on Shepherd University at 4 p.m.
