BOWIE, Md. – The visiting Senators of Davis & Elkins College picked up two wins against Bowie State University on a cold Tuesday afternoon, beating the Lady bulldogs 6-1 and 13-1 in non-conference play.
Bowie State was held to 12 combined hits with freshman
Jaelyn Belt (Glen Burnie, Md.) leading the team with three hits in six at bats. Freshman

Danielle Watt (St. Leonard, Md.) contributed two hits apiece in the setbacks.

Jacqueline Pickering (Bowie, Md.) and senior Caitlyn O'Neill (Elkton, Md.) tallied one hit each for the Lady Bulldogs.
Leading the way for Davis & Elkins (24-12) were Danielle Norton (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Alyssa Cairns (West Mifflin, Pa.) with six and five hits respectively for the Senators. Norton crossed the dish five times over the two-game set while Cairns scored four total runs.
Bowie State (8-16) look to stop its current seven-game skid when the Lady Bulldogs open CIAA division play on Saturday (4/9), hosting Virginia State University in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
