LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Junior
Ahmaad Wilson (Baltimore, Md.) pumped in a game-high 21 points and added four assists and two steals to assist Bowie State University men's basketball team a 70-65 win over Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon before a raucous Manuel Rivero Hall crowd and a nationally televised audience.
The Bulldogs improved to 8-14 overall, 6-6 in CIAA play and 3-3 in the Northern Division.

Brian Kelley and
Michael Briscoe contributed 12 and 11 points respectively for the Bulldogs and fellow senior
Enuoma Ebinum (Greenbelt, Md.) added 10 points and five rebounds.
Bowie State shot 36.8 percent (21-of-57) from the floor and made six of its 15 3-pointers (40.0 percent). The Bulldogs defense forced 17 Lincoln (Pa.) turnovers and converted them into 24 points for the Bulldogs.
The first 20 minutes was nip and tuck with the Lincoln (Pa.) Lions shooting 36.4 percent from the field (12-of-33) compared to 24.1 percent (7-of-29) for Bowie State's Bulldogs.
Bowie State took its first lead since 2-0 to start the game following a layup by Briscoe at the 4:31 mark of the first half, shifting the advantage to the Bulldogs at 25-24.
Khayyir Laws' (Chester, Pa.) put Lincoln (Pa.) back on top courtesy of a conventional 3-point play and Joshua Davis (Saginaw, Mich.) followed that with a layup for a 29-26 Lions lead with just over two minutes remaining in the first half. Vernon Young (Chicago, Ill.) splashed a deep triple to give LUPA a 32-26 advantage.
BSU's Wilson drained a 3-pointer from the top of the key as time expired to send Bulldogs into halftime trailing 32-31.
The Bulldogs open the second half with a 6-0 run until Sean James (Newark, Del.) drilled a 3-pointer from the corner to stop the Bowie State run.
With the scored tied at 47-all, Bowie State went on a 6-1 run capped off by a huge follow up dunk by Ebinum to open 53-48 lead with 7:47 left in the game. Senior
Dayshawn Wells (Baltimore, Md.) continued the Bulldogs run, draining a triple to force Lincoln (Pa.) to call timeout.
The Bulldogs lead grew to a game-high 12 points (60-48) and Bowie State was not really threatened after that.
Lincoln (Pa.) (7-15, 5-7 CIAA, 2-4 North) was led by Sean James (Newark, Del.) with 11 points and Joshua Davis hauled down a game-high 12 rebounds before fouling out.
The Bulldogs will head to Richmond, Va. on Wednesday (February 8th) to take on the Panthers of Virginia Union at 7:30 p.m.
