Emerald Fulmore Appointed to NCAA Division II Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant Selection Committee

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Bowie State University Associate Athletic Director of Compliance Emerald Fulmore has been appointed to the Division II Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant Selection Committee. The term of service on the committee began September 01, 2018, and continues through August 31, 2021.
 
"I'm very honored to be appointed to the Division II Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant Selection Committee. I'm dedicated to helping those Ethnic Minorities and Women gain the experience they need to excel in the world of Athletic Administration, as I was afforded the same opportunity upon becoming a senior level Athletic Administrator", said Fulmore.
 
Fulmore joined the Bowie State University Athletic family August 17, 2016. Prior to moving over to Bowie State, Fulmore served as the Assistant Director of Compliance at Howard University (2013-2016). Before her tenure at Howard, Fulmore spent a brief stint as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Academic Services at Newberry College in Newberry, S.C. in 2013.
 
Ms. Fulmore is a current member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA), Black Women in Sports Foundation (BWSF), National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), Minority Opportunity Athletic Association Inc. (MOAA) and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.
 
Fulmore is a Doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership Program at Bowie State and serves as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
