The Bulldogs took over the game early with a big first half and never looked back after a 12-0 run. The Falcons would however stop the bleeding after back to back layups by Williams and Milequa Eason at 3:10 in the first quarter. BSU never allowed St. Augustine's to get in any rhythm offensively and closed the period leading 18-10. The Falcons made the game competitive in the beginning of the second quarter after going on a mini 5-0 run to cut the deficit to 18-15 at 7:49. Just when the Falcons found its rhythm, the Bulldogs turned it up a notch and went on an 11-0 run to stretched the lead to 29-16. Calhoun hit two three pointers during that run to secure the big lead going into the half up 33-20.
Once in control, the Bulldogs never looked as Williams jumper gave the team their biggest lead 35-20 to open the third period. However, the Falcons would chip away at BSU's lead after Williams layup cut it to 37-31 with 3:01 remaining. Sophomore
Chyna Butler's layup and a pair of free-throws extended the team's lead to 10 ending the period on top comfortably. Although the Bulldogs committed more turnovers (22) than the :Lady Falcons (20), they still found a way to be more superior and imposed their will not only throughout the fourth period, but the whole game. The Lady Falcons would attempt to make a late comeback cutting the lead to 44-53 but Williams knocked down another jumper to put the game out of reach. From there, the Bulldogs simply cruised their way to their sixth straight win.
