Kamari Eason battled through three sets at No. 5 singles before losing by scores of 6-7, 6-2 and 6-7 to Zimaris Smith. Bulldogs freshman
Jatiya Stewart came up short at No. 6 singles, falling to VSU's Deja Lovitt by scores of 6-1, 6-1.
Virginia State (3-0 / 2-0 CIAA) captured a 6-0 victory over Bowie State at No. 1 doubles and defeated the Bulldogs 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles respectively.
Bowie State (0-4 / 0-4 CIAA) return to action Saturday (March 23) and Sunday (March 24) at the CIAA Round-Up in Charlotte, N.C.
