BOWIE, Md.– Bowie State women's volleyball will make their way to Lincoln, Pa., Monday, Oct. 25 for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) matchup with Lincoln (PA). The match will be broadcast on the CIAA Sports Network at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs are 3-15 on the season and 1-8 in the league, following a 3-0 setback to Elizabeth City State last Thursday at home. With three road matches left, the Bulldogs hope to steal a victory as BSU is 0-6 on the road this season.
LUPA has lost their last eight matches entering Monday's tilt. The Lions are 1-17 overall and 1-9 in conference action. Lincoln (PA) has not won a home match this season (0-7) as their lone win on the season came against Livingstone (Oct. 3) by the score of 3-0.
Junior Lydia Leiner (Sykesville, MD) leads the way offensively for Bowie State, averaging 2.45 kills per set with a .169 hitting percentage and third-best (2.41) digs per set. Sophomore Neysha Washington (Winchester, VA) averages 4.36 digs per set with a team-high 257 digs.
As for Lincoln (PA), Haley Loper is the team's leader with 1.85 kills per set while Jada Lumpkin has a team-best in total digs (102).
